For the past two weeks, I’ve been running around like a lunatic. Between night school at NYU, traveling to Boston for a meeting with Going.com and a quick visit to BurstMedia!, then onto San Francisco for Web 2.0 Expo–it’s been quite a whirlwind past few weeks.

Last night, I performed an Ableton Live set up in Monticello, NY for my friend, promoter and producer, Dirty Stereo. Needless to say, the turnout wasn’t what we expected, but that’s Monticello for you.

This weekend, I have to pound out some work for a client, so things are going to be a little quiet on the blog front for a moment while I complete that work.

I’ll be back on Monday with some more info about the Web 2.0 Expo, things I learned and people I met. Stay tuned.

Last night, I dropped by Cielo for a set by Groove Armada. Their latest tune, “Love Sweet Sound,” washed over the crowd and pushed them into a sweaty frenzy on the dancefloor. It was the highlight of the night–then again, I did leave at 1:30 a.m. and couldn’t say for the whole show. I can’t justify a 4 a.m. night out on a Tuesday with homework due for class tonight!

On Thursday, I headed over to Broadway Studios in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint section to go on set with Machete Music recording artist, Notch (Notch on MySpace) for the shooting of “Dale Pa’ Tra (Back It Up),” the first single from his forthcoming album, Raised By The People. We tracked all the styles from the shoot. The video and style info will appear in the StarStyle.com Media Player in a few weeks. I’ll post to let you know when it’s ready.

If you’re not familiar with Notch, he’s a fantastic singer who fuses Latin (reggaeton, salsa), R&B, reggae, hip hop. In the 90’s, he was one half of the popular dancehall duo, Born Jamericans. His debut on Machete Music drops May 27th.
