MAFIAA Blames Music Piracy on ISPs

From PaidContent.org – “Some estimates say 80 per cent of all internet traffic comprises copyright-infringing files on P2P networks. ISPs have largely stood by, allowing a massive devaluation of copyrighted music. This … has prompted a crisis in recorded music.”

As the record industry continues its failed attempt at stemming the tide of piracy, they are starting to point the finger at ISP’s (Internet Service Providers), implying that these companies are doing nothing to inhibit the flow of pirated copyrights. That would be like telling the government they have a responsibility to stop every car on a highway to check it illegal contraband.
