Off to Boston…

Taking a brief trip to Boston today to see some old friends, visit with the family and interview for a position with Burst Media, an Internet ad agency.

No time like the present to try and expand my internet horizens and see where life takes me. Oh, I forgot, you might not know that I live in New York City. Things have been quite difficult here for the past few years and I’m looking into the possibility that I’ll be moving on from the craziness that is this place. It’s not set in stone, but I’m exploring my options.

In the meantime, if you’re looking to get up to speed on more digital music stuff, you might want to subscribe to the Pho list. According to the website, “Pho is Vietnamese beef noodle soup. It is also a community that gathers over soup to share ideas about ‘the digital delivery of art’ and ‘the convergence of entertainment and technology.’ Discussions take place at gatherings in Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, San Jose, Nashville, Seattle, Minneapolis, Boston ,San Diego, Chicago, Portland, Helskinki, London, Berlin, Moscow and beyond. Our conversations continue online via The Pho List.”

I’ve been a member of the list for some time now. Topics range from the RIAA assault on P2P software companies to discussing the intricacies of the legal ramifications of congressional decisions and laws passed regarding the digital music and movie industries.

The list moves quite fast, so make sure you direct all incoming messages to a folder specifically assigned to Pho. I use MS Outlook for the Mac and have my Pho inbox where I store all incoming messages.

Enjoy!

Tony
