Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy! Jay-J’s been selected by Ean Thorley, Executive Producer, MTV AVMAs to perform at the Australian version of MTV’s Video Music Awards, which will be broadcast to an audience of approximately 1 Billion people across all media platforms.

The talented DJ and producer, with over 120 releases on various record labels in his growing body of work, including his own Shifted Music, was nominated for a Grammy in 2003 for his remix of Jill Scott’s ‘He Loves Me’. He also produces syndicated DJ mix shows for XM Satellite, Music Choice, KNGY 92.7 FM (San Francisco), KBIG 104.3 FM (Los Angeles) and creates over 50 special mix shows per year for additional radio stations worldwide.

Unfortunately, I’m going to miss Jay-J’s blend of soulful house at Simon Dunmore’s Defected Recrords, Defected In The House party, which opens the Winter Music Conference on March 23. I won’t be arriving until March 25th, but I’m sure he’ll rock the house as he did at New York hot spot, Cielo, where I saw him spinning last.
