Hurricane Relief: DanielsFamilySupport.com

Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues:

On Friday, I learned from my friend Karen Langjahr our mutual friend,
William Daniels extended family lost 7 homes and all their possessions and
are now refugees safe in Atlanta, staying in hotels and a friends home, but
they need the support, money, food, clothing, toiletries and other
necessities.

Having gone through 9/11, Karen and I wanted to do something to help, so I
decided a blog with a donation section would be a great idea to help William
help his family.

My Thoughts On The Hurricane

As I sit here on dry land, in the safety of my comfortable apartment in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn, the news of the disaster has slowly gained strength, jut like Hurrican Katrina that preceded it, in the sphere that shapes my world.

My friend, Dagmara Grajewska, is sitting in a hotel room, 90 miles SW of New Orleans at this very moment. She was visiting her brother who had just arrived from Poland on a Nigerian operated, Greek-owned tanker just a few days before the Hurricane Katrina crossed over Florida. She and her brother are safe. They have food and water, but she reported tonight that the lawlessness has krept from the city's center out into other parts of Louisiana, reaching where she is now.

Taggin Books, originally uploaded by Tony Zeoli.

Here’s another shot from Marc Ecko’s Contents Under Pressure Block Party event. Taggin someone else’s book is common at these events. I have a sketch book and we swap. You tag mine, I tag yours. It’s a viral way of getting your style out, promoting yourself. If I’m in your book, you’re showing it to your friends and I’m building a name for myself.

Plus, it’s fun to see the juxtaposition between different style’s in a graf writers sketch book. You’ll not only see the style that he or she writes with, but you’ll see the styles that will influence them going forward.

On Wednesday, I took over 150 photos and some video from the event. I’m testing my Flickr.com photo integration, and thought this would be good first pic to show.

Flickr is becoming my new favorite toy! Although I love wp-gallery, posting photos using Flick is more advantageous for a variety of reasons.

My First Traktor DJ Mix….Yay!

Finally!

Click to listen to TonyZ's first Traktor DJ Mix. You must have Real Player to listen to the mix.

Or, right-click to download the podcast so you can bring it on the train with you!

On Wednesday night, I got home from work at the AP and decided to just focus and put together my first Traktor DJ mix. This time, I had a slight problem when one of the tracks I began to load in the left channel caused the track playing in the right channel to cut out a few times.
